Nestled amongst 3 native villages of the Kosi region in Uttarakhand, is the oasis of serenity and calm — The Village Walk. The property is accessed through the meandering main-lane of the Kanelli village. As you walk past small yet tidy houses huddled together, each bustling with the sounds of daily contented living; hop across small patches of home-grown vegetables; and even pass the odd temple or two – whose bell you can’t resist gonging – the logic behind the property’s quaint name dawns clear.
Endless rolling greens in the shadows of the majestic Himalayas
Start the short and a wee-bit steep climb to the property, and deep valleys shrouded in myriad hues of green appear on the periphery only to give way to large open vistas with tall stately pine trees, till they are all silhouetted by beautiful snow-capped majestic peaks (on a clear, lucky day).
The property appears ever so shyly — emerging from the camouflage of acres of uninterrupted nature that surround it. The silence and tranquility of the open vistas is interrupted only by the occasional bird-call.

Constructed with locally sourced stone and wood, using local methods and techniques — the property is both rustic and modern in a unique way. All the 4 rooms of The Village Walk have en-suite bathrooms and boast of modern amenities and facilities so that your stay is truly luxurious — making for an interesting contrast with rock-solid walls and aged wooden floors that often groan ever so gently reminding you of their history.

The huge open-to-the-sky deck is the perfect spot to spend a lazy day enjoying beautiful views of pine-surrounded rolling vistas in complete solitude. As the sounds of silence surround you, gentle breezes caress you and the smell of the pine forest wafts in the tiredness of city-life starts to drop off, almost magically.

• It’s located in a secluded exclusive area in the midst of natural beauty
• You could even be an unbranded homestay looking to boost income and occupancy.
If required we will refurbish and upgrade the property to Aranyani standards.
Owners will retain: access (during mutually agreed time-lines) AND full ownership of the property.
